Divača

Divača is full of diversity with its transitional location between the sea and the mountains. Divača Karst is characterized by typical karst phenomena, which are the main reason that this landscape has become world famous.

Near Divača you can find magnificent Škocjanske cave. Because of their importance to world heritage they are in one of world heritage Sites protected by Unesco. Škocjan Caves represent a system of water caves through which flows the river Reka.
Outstanding characteristic of the river Reka is that it disappears into the Škocjan Caves and runs 34 km underground all the way to the Adriatic Sea.
