Trebnje

Trebnje is part of Central Dolenjska. It lies at the crossroads of the old routes towards Ljubljana, Krško and Mirna valley. The surrounding area offers many opportunities for walks and visits to vineyard cottages and caves.

Temenica is the longest intermittent stream in Dolenjska and in the village Ponikve you can see the sink, where the river in karst soil disappears from the surface.
